The Atmos room: an immersive control room for the Conservatory
The design of a room for listening and mixing in immersive audio. We are at the materials-list stage.
Immersive audio is no longer a curiosity: it is the format in which more and more music is released. A conservatory that teaches sound technology needs a room where people can listen and mix in Atmos.
We are designing the one for the Nicolini Conservatory: loudspeaker layout, amplification, interfaces, acoustic treatment. At the moment the work is on the list of materials, version after version.
We will write about it again when the loudspeakers have been hung.
