Piacenza Music Pride: the city’s music journal
Piacenza’s online music journal, running since 2014. Since January 2024 its newsroom has worked inside the Nicolini Conservatory’s communication team, which we coordinate: 705 articles since then, about one for every working day.
Piacenza Music Pride is the online journal of Piacenza’s musical life: concerts, festivals, seasons, students, the places where music gets made. It has been online since May 2014 and today counts 2,978 articles.
Since 2024, inside the Conservatory
In January 2024 the newsroom passed to the Nicolini Conservatory, and the presidency asked us to bring it into the communication team we coordinate. Since then 705 articles have come out: about one for every working day, up to the one of 28 September 2026 on the new season of the Milestone Live Club.
All the city’s music
The Conservatory has its own section, but the journal covers the whole city. Since 2024 the articles are split like this, and one can sit in more than one section:
- Conservatory: 195;
- Festivals: 181;
- Milestone Live Club: 73;
- Amici della Lirica: 58;
- Piacenza Jazz Fest: 42;
- Dal Mississippi al Po: 39;
- ValTidone Festival: 26;
- Antichi Organi: 15.
The website and social media
At the start of 2025 the numbers were: 7,400 different people on the website in 2024, 2,521 followers on Instagram with 13,331 views in a month, 6,188 followers on Facebook. YouTube holds the archive of the videos made up to 2023: 292, with more than a hundred thousand views.
A site the newsroom keeps alive on its own
In February 2026 we took care of its technical side and wrote the guide for the people who update it. It is a small project, and that is why we like it: a site an editorial team can keep alive on its own, without calling anyone every time there is an article to publish.
The journal is at piacenzamusicpride.com, and also on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
The article counts come from the Piacenza Music Pride website, as of 28 September 2026. The images are screenshots of the site: the photos inside the articles belong to whoever took them for the journal.
